Snapper Rocks - 6 thru 12 Feb 2010

What a bumper week it was!

Definitely the best week of waves at Snapper Rocks since the storms of May 09. 6 Feb - Solid in the 4 - 6ft mark probably bigger on the sets and the wind hung in there creating clean conditions for most the day - plenty of rain squalls that kept everyone trying to get some images and footage on their toes!

7 Feb - It was teeming with rain Sunday - apparently the GC had about 400mm in places! The swell picked up from Saturday, early it was not as clean or lining up as well as Saturday, there was plenty of waves though none the less. As the tide ran out the sets lined up a bit creating a solid take off zone way behind the rock at Snapper. A break in the rain around midday allowed for a few quick pics!

The swell hung around early in the new week and has gone to pretty much nothing now with the good 'ol onshore winds back. Check the forecast though looks like there is another swell on the way. Should be good for the Breaka Burleigh Pro going down this week.
